& I'M FLOODING WITH ALL THIS PAIN
KNOWING THAT I'LL NEVER HOLD YOU
( like i did before the storm )
Nicole had been up for nineteen hours straight. Her brain was raking back and forth over everything. Should she sleep or not sleep? She knew if was human nature to sleep, and of course she was tired, but she knew she wasn't strong enough to face what was going to happen when she closed her eyes. It had been seven years sense her parents had died. But, it still hurt her. She had lost the only real family she had, and it was all her fault. She knew this because if it weren't for her stupid recital that seemed to be the most important thing in her life, then her parents wouldn't have been speeding down that road. It wasn't what she thought that night was going to be like. It was supposed to be her and her parents all celebrating the proudest moment of her life. She was suppose to still be happy. Having her parents with her every step of the way. To even just have them now that everything is getting so complicated. She needed something she hasn't had since they died, love.
Nicole picked up her ipod, placing the ear pieces in her eyes. The song from Nicole's ipod rang in her ears. She loved it, the feeling, the sensation. The music was an escape. Something she can always just play for hours and never stop. It was like her baby and she'd do anything just to have it. She'd never give it up. She knew she wasn't strong enough. Nikki was tired of having to give up on everything that she loved. She wished she could sing along to the music, but she was home. She couldn't be too loud to wake her grandparents, and she didn't want to get them upset in the early mornings. They didn't have to work of course, because they took all the money they needed from Nicole. She was completely broke. And not in just money, her heart, her mind, her life were all broken. She has no one to talk to, except Mason. He was there when her family was ripped away from her and hes stayed since. He was like her brother, the last living relative she has. He was the person who knew her the best. It was sometimes comforting to know there was someone out here who could help her through everything.
Nicole laid her head on her pillow. She knew it was too late to go to sleep, but maybe she could sit here and day dream, something she could control. With dreams it was up to her subconscious and she wasn't sure if she could trust that. She didn't want to try.Nikki just wanted to relax and sit here, maybe lose herself in the song like always. She could just think about the words instead of the world around her. That seemed like the only way she could feel a calm. Something she was desperate to have. Nicole had daydreamed for a few hours, she felt rested as the sun kissed her cheeks. She could feel the heat, as it swept her body. She could feel the sweat. Nicole slowly moved her self from her position and walked over to her dresser. She grabbed a could of clothes. A plaid button up shirt and some dark pair of jeans. She wasn't too big on fashion today. She was just going to get in the shower, get out and put o some clothes that were comfortable.
Nikki reached for the shower curtain, pulling it back with ease. She wasn't going to take long, she a shower not to long ago so she only needed to be in for at least a half hour. She stripped her clothes off and settled in. She took longer than a half hour to take a shower, but she wasn't thinking about it, her mind was out in space when she was in the shower. It was like she wasn't even there. Nikki quickly dried her self off and put on her warm clothes. Nicole knew her grandparents weren't here by now. It was almost ten o'clock and they were probably out with all the other rich snobs, chatting and faking. But, it didn't matter, she was going to go out too. She knew where they left the keys to their Bugatti Veyron. They never let her even touch that care. They treated it like it was the best thing they ever had. Yes, that explains why it's been in the garage ever since they bought the damn thing. Nikki was going to take that car, she didn't care if they knew or not. She wasn't really sure where it is she was going, but it was New York City, she had the best options in the world and she was going to take it.
Nicole placed the key in the care slot and started it up. She loved the sound of the cars roar. She tapped the button on the ceiling of the car to open the garage. Already Nicole felt guilty for taking their car. She was a good girl, she didn't like getting in trouble, and her grandparents were not the people you wanted to test with anger. Nikki backed up the car nice and slowly. Once she was out of the garage she tapped the button on the ceiling one last time and headed down the street. She already knew where she was going to go. It wasn't very far just in case her grandparents were to realize that the car was gone and call the police. Nikki knew she could just slip it in there when she heard the sirens and make her grandparents look like they were crazy. Plus, she would definitely get a kick out of it. Nik went down the road to Central Park. She loved watching the runners and the kids. It was a pretty cool place to just relax. Nikki parked the car and headed over to the bench that sat next to a dark black pole. She knew it as the perfect spot. It had the best view of every corner of the park. Plus, she could keep a close eye on the 1,700,000 car.
