SAMPLE --[/size]
Her curly blonde hair blew freely in the wind. Her tanned legs kicked forward and back together. Her delicate hands held onto the chains. Her fingers polished with a light pink color. The deserted playground was almost silent except for the creaky noises the swing, that she was on, made. Her skinny figure was like a feather on the swing. She closed her eyes, swinging, thinking. It was a partially sunny day and there was a cool breeze. The birds chirped somewhere in the distance. Fluffy white clouds traveled across the sky. The headphones on her pretty head gently played Say by John Mayer. The volume was low, like background music. She started to hum along with the song. After a few seconds she began to sing quietly. “…It’s better to say too much, than never to say what you need to say again. Even if your hands are shakin’ and your faith is broken. Even as your eyes are closin’, do it with a heart wide open…” She sighed. Being alone for a whole day was pretty boring and actually quite depressing for Winter. Lately she had been the little anti-social girl, even though she was one of the most popular girls at school. It wasn’t really her fault; she was just tired of being lied to and having people break her trust, or more importantly her heart. Her eyes opened slowly as she heard something from behind her. She slowly turned her head. What she saw before her surprised her and brought back so many memories and so much emotions…
"...Owen..." She whispered. Winter didn't know what to say, what to do. Part of her hated him, but part of her still loved him. She would always love him, but what he did to her.. She got off the swing and walked on the other side of it. She stood there in silence for a few moments, taking it all in. He looked so different, and yet just the same. His soft brown hair looked a little longer than when she last saw him. And his eyes, the green color seemed brighter, more expressive. Winnie took a step towards him. "I can't believe…" She finally said, rushing towards him. She wrapped her arms around him, holding back her tears. She couldn't say anything else or she would probably start crying. Winter had so many questions for him. But right now, there really wasn't a need for words. She took in his sweet smell of the cologne that he use to wear. She gave him a squeeze, closing her eyes.
Winter smiled when she felt him hug her back. She couldn't believe this was happening. I'm home. She let go when he did, her smile faded slightly. What was to happen now? After him just leaving and everything. How hurt he left her. How were things to play out now? And then he kissed her. How she missed that feeling. How she missed him. She kissed him back, wrapping her arms around his neck. She pulled back after he did, closing her eyes and looking away from him. She looked back though and smiled faintly again. "I've missed you too." She whispered, hugging him again. She let her head rest on his chest. It had been so long since she had felt the way she did right now. And the feeling of protection when she was with him was so overwhelming, but Winter loved it.
