so, it wasn't like she meant to end up here, she just sorta did. hyde park was one of kylies favourite places to be, next to her dads farm outside of the city. the air was cleaner here. easier to breath. perhaps that is why she was so attracted to this place. who knew, but for some reason, kylie found herself sitting on a bench, staring at the famous upside down tree.
"it's not really upside down. it's branches just like the ground better than the sky." kylie said to herself, twisting her head around so she was looking at it upside down. "this doesn't look right either." she said, not caring if anybody heard her or thought she was nuts for talking to herself about a tree. kylie would talk to the tree if she wanted to. and for kylie, it would't seem weird at all. other people might think it's weird, but that didn't matter.
the female opened her totebag and pulled out a sketchpad. from a glance you'd think that she had started drawing the tree itself. that wasn't the case today, though. instead, kylie started drawing a tree that had no leaves on it and looked rather dead. as well, the tree that was slowly forming in rough sketchy lines on her paper was also on fire. kylie continued to draw, not even noticing the people walking around her, enjoying the bright day.
hmm.. perhaps that is another reason why kylie was out and about on this fine saturday. the weather was nice for once. it was sunny, not a cloud in the sky. it was hot too, hot enough that splashing around in one of the fountains in the park seemed like an awesome idea. of course, it would be a lot more fun if there was someone to splash.
that was when it dawned on kylie. she needed some company on this beautiful day. the sophomore dug through her bag once again, this time taking out her samsung omnia smart phone. "hmm.." kylie thought outloud, deciding who she should text.
"heyy! come to hyde park, im bored. plzkthx?" kylie typed in with lightning quick fingers and pressed the send button. the receiver of this message: andrew skyes, one of kylie's best friends. andy was always the person to go to if you were looking for a good time. she enjoyed his company, even though some of his ideas on life were a little different than hers. they had a few things in common, though: broken families, a sense of humour, and a love for the arts. .
